Hotaruika (Firefly squid) Festival In Spring

Hotaruika (Firefly squid) festival is held in spring (late April) where you can fully enjoy the seasonal firefly squid. It includes food and beverage booths which serve  tempura, boiled, or other firefly dishes, and plenty of interesting events, such as a big-eater contest of firefly squid, scooping live firefly squid, and throwing firefly squid eyeballs contest.
This is an event that you can enjoy watching, eating and playing with firefly squid.
